Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region

As of July 20, 2020, confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region are two hundred eighty (280).

On Recoveries

Apart from the two (2) recoveries reported earlier, eleven (11) additional recoveries, all from Camarines Sur, have been recorded today. Active cases are one hundred forty (140).

List of the 11 additional recoveries:
Bicol#119 – 8-year old female from Iriga City.
Bicol#120 – 30-year old female from Iriga City.
Bicol#121 – 35-year old male from Balatan.
Bicol#129 – 45-year old male from Pasacao.
Bicol#130 – 40-year old female from Pasacao.
Bicol#132 – 68-year old female from Tinambac.
Bicol#133 – 25-year old male from Presentacion.
Bicol#134 – 38-year old male from Lagonoy.
Bicol#135 – 27-year old female from Tinambac.
Bicol#136 – 36-year old female from Baao.
Bicol#148 – 37-year old male from Iriga City.

On test results received

A total of one hundred thirty-seven (137) test results were received today. One hundred thirty-one (131) are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while six (6) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Of the 137 test results, two (2) are new positive while one (1) is a repeat test.

Breakdown of 134 negative results:
Albay PHO – 26, BMC – 4, Sorsogon – 8, CESU Legazpi- 95, and USI – 1.

On probable and suspect cases

Bicol Region has eight (8) suspects – four (4) from Albay, and four (4) from Catanduanes. The one (1) probable case in Bicol is from Albay.

Appeal to Public

DOH CHD-Bicol reminds the public that the Community Quarantine is still in effect, thus, guidelines and directives must be complied with. Staying in our homes and following preventive measures against COVID-19 are the simplest yet helpful acts which everyone can contribute in minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
