Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region

As of August 2, 2020, confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region are four hundred seventy-eight (478).

Nineteen(19) new cases, one (1) death, and seven (7) recoveries have been recorded today. Active cases are two hundred fifty-eight (258). (Click link for PR on 19 new cases, 1 death: )

Bicol#184 – 20-year old female from Pamplona, Camarines Sur.
Bicol#194 – 52-year old female from Naga City.
Bicol#195 – 38-year old male from Tinambac, Camarines Sur.
Bicol#239 – 24-year old male from Bagamanoc, Catanduanes.
Bicol#241 – 22-year old female from Oas, Albay.
Bicol#242 – 32-year old male from Tabaco City, Albay.
Bicol#258 – 27-year old male from Legazpi City, Albay.

Note: Recoveries not reported to Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (RESU) are not included in the daily report.

On test results received

A total of two hundred three (203) test results were received today. One hundred ninety-five (195) are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while eight (8) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Of the 203 test results, nineteen (19) are new positive.

Breakdown of 184 negative results:
Albay PHO -2, BRTTH – 34, BMC – 4, Camarines Norte – 4, Camarines Sur – 27, Masbate – 68, Sorsogon – 27, and Legazpi CESU – 18.

DOH CHD-Bicol reminds the public that the Community Quarantine is still in effect, thus, guidelines and directives must be complied with. Staying in our homes and following preventive measures against COVID-19 are the simplest yet helpful acts which everyone can contribute in minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
