Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region

As of August 9, 2020, confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region are six hundred seventy-six (676).

ON NEW COVID-19 DEATH

Bicol#543, a 78-year old Filipino female from Basud, Camarines Norte who was reported positive last August 5, 2020, died today, August 9, 2020.

Other details about the patient’s death will be provided once available.

Strict burial/cremation protocol will be followed for Bicol#543.

ON TEST RESULTS RECEIVED

A total of one hundred ninety-four (194) test results were received today. One hundred forty-three (143) are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while fifty-one (51) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).

Of the 194 test results, twenty one (21) are new positive, while one (1) is repeat test.

Breakdown of 172 negative results:
Albay PHO -1, BRTTH – 22, BMC – 6, Camarines Norte – 18, Camarines Sur – 12, Masbate – 1, Legazpi CESU – 12, Sorsogon – 100.

ON STATUS OF BICOL#622

Bicol#622, who is a 19-year old student from Pili, Camarines Sur is currently isolated. He was reported positive yesterday. The 1st photo posted was a human error but was immediately deleted and changed. We apologize for the said error.

APPEAL TO PUBLIC

DOH CHD-Bicol reminds the public that the Community Quarantine is still in effect, thus, guidelines and directives must be complied with. Staying in our homes and following preventive measures against COVID-19 are the simplest yet helpful acts which everyone can contribute in minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
