The Local Government Unit of Bula turned-over the newly constructed standard and Bula-brand Day Care Center at Barangay Palsong on September 23, 2022. Mayor Amelita A. Ibasco and Councilor Kulin Hombre led the turn-over ceremonies to the Barangay Council headed by PB Maricar Iraola.

The Center is the second child development facility constructed by the local government to address the identified gap on standard facility that will cater to the development needs of children ages 3 to 5 years old where gross and fine motor skills, receptive and expressive language, cognitive abilities, self-help and social-emotional growth.

This specific need, among other social welfare and development needs were identified and included in the medium term plan of the municipality. It is also in compliance with RA 6972, mandating the establishment of day care center in every barangay, instituting the total development and protection of children. It also embodies the local government’s pursuit to protect the right of children to survive, be protected and participate in their development, especially on its formative years.

The facility has a floor area of __ square meters, with hand washing facility and gender responsive toilet facilities. It has adequate learning and play spaces. Other furniture and fixtures will be provided by the barangay and other stakeholders as their equity.

According to some of the parents of day care children, the facility is a big blessing to them since their children will no longer have to walk a distance and exposed to the elements and safer since the new facility is far from the secondary national road. The children themselves expressed that they have bigger space to play.

The event was also graced by the heads and staffs of the offices of the Municipal Planning and Development and Engineering.
